Kenyan President Uhuru Kenyatta publicly reiterated the government’s previous commitment to ensuring that all students in the country return to
school early next year, and ordered the Ministry of Education to announce academic qualifications for 2021 within 14 days.
As a responsible government, Kenyatta said in his State of the Union address at the joint meeting of the
Senate and National Assembly that day, that students’ health and safety was a primary consideration.
It is reported that there were a small number of new cases of Coronavirus pandemic students who had
resumed studies in the country. Parents and guardians are very concerned too.
