Jordan’s military has foiled an attempt at smuggling and infiltration along its border with the country

August 17th, the Jordanian armed forces informed that its eastern military region foiled an attempt to infiltrate and smuggle from Syria into Jordan. Jordan’s military wounded some of the smugglers and forced them to flee back to Syria through firepower.

The Jordanian military seized large quantities of raw drugs, weapons and ammunition at the scene.

Jordan’s armed forces said the country will resolutely combat infiltration or smuggling in the border areas, as well as other acts endangering Jordan’s national security.
