January 26.  Recently, many places in Japan have experienced severe epidemics. After being infected with the new crown virus, many people cannot get timely treatment due to the shortage of medical resources.

In response, Japanese Prime Minister Yoshihide Suga responded and apologized in Parliament on the 26th.

According to a report on the Japanese “Asahi Shimbun” website on the 26th, on the same day, Yoshihide Suga accepted a question from Japanese opposition lawmakers on the government’s response to the epidemic.

He admitted that “it is currently not able to provide necessary medical services (to all patients). I think the nationals I feel uneasy about this,” and said that “(the public) cannot receive the necessary medical examinations in time. As the person in charge, I am very sorry.”

Regarding the response to the epidemic, Suga Yoshihide said: “We have sent the Self-Defense Forces to Hokkaido and also to Osaka. We have maintained a situation where the Self-Defense Forces can be dispatched at any time.

For example (to transport patients) from home to the hospital. Wait”.

On the 25th, Yoshihide Suga once stated that he would “strive” to secure the number of new crown vaccines required by all citizens in June.

He emphasized that in order to convince the Japanese people of the vaccine, efforts will be made to make the information disclosure of the approval process.

In the 2020 provisional parliament, Yoshihide Suga mentioned that “the quantity that can be provided to all citizens will be guaranteed by the first half of next year at the latest,” and therefore was criticized by the Japanese opposition party as “regressive.”
