According to a report by Kyodo News Agency on February 1, the Japanese government will make a decision on the 2nd to extend the declaration of emergency events for the COVID-19 until March 7.

Previously, the Japanese government issued an emergency declaration to Tokyo, Saitama, Chiba and Kanagawa Capital Circle on January 7, and added seven prefectures such as Toki and Fukuoka on the 13th, with a declaration period of February 7.

Government experts analyzed that although the epidemic control has achieved some results, “the number of severe patients and deaths are at the highest level so far” and it will take some time to improve.
