Japanese media reports on the 11th in order to curb the further spread of the Coronavirus Pandemic, the Japanese government previously introduced restrictions on professional baseball games and other activities.

The original deadline for this measure is the end of November, but taking into account the increase in the number of people infected with the new Coronavirus, the Japanese government intends to extend it until the end of February 2021, and coordination has begun.

According to the report, in the context of the continuous spread of Coronavirus pandemic, the Japanese government has previously introduced restrictions on some activities, stipulating that the professional baseball game and the Japanese professional football league can accommodate more than 10,000 people at the event site, and the number of people in the stadium shall not exceed the capacity. Half of the number.

In view of the increase in the number of people infected with Coronavirus, the Japanese expert group meeting put forward urgent recommendations, believing that “if appropriate countermeasures are not taken, a rapid expansion of pandemic is likely to occur.”

Taking into account the above situation, the Japanese government intends to extend the restrictive measures originally scheduled to expire at the end of November to the end of February 2021, and coordination has begun.

On the other hand, the Japanese government believes that if the risk of infection is low, restrictions on individual activities can be relaxed. For example, in a movie theater, according to the current restrictions, the number of people in the theater cannot exceed half of the capacity, but after the restrictions are relaxed, they will be allowed to be full.
