Kyodo News Agency reported on February 21 that on the morning of the 21st, the second batch of coronavirus vaccine imported by Japan arrived at Narita Airport from Belgium by ET.

The vaccine is produced by the U.S. pharmaceutical giant Pfizer. If you use a syringe that can extract six doses per bottle, the maximum number is about 450,000 doses.

The first batch of vaccines arrived in Japan on the 12th with a maximum of about 380,000 doses, and the first vaccination for medical staff has been launched.

Japan’s Ministry of Health, Labour and Welfare revealed that as of the 19th, 5,039 medical staff in 68 hospitals had been vaccinated.

According to the report, the Japanese government intends to send up to 585,000 doses of vaccines to prefectures in the first week and the second week of March, respectively, including vaccines that will arrive in the future.
