In the early morning hours of May 12, local time, Hamas militants confirmed that Israeli warplanes carried out a series of air strikes in the Palestinian Gaza Strip, destroying dozens of local police and security facilities, including the Gaza police headquarters. The IDF said it had also blown up the homes of three senior Hamas officials in the Gaza Strip.
