The Hill : Israeli Prime Minister’s Office issued a statement on the 24th that Prime Minister Netanyahu and Crown Prince Mohammed of Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates were nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize in recognition of their efforts to normalize relations between the two countries.

According to Bloomberg in the United States, the Israeli Prime Minister’s Office said that David Trimble, the former leader of the Northern Ireland United Party, nominated the two. Trimble was awarded the Nobel Peace Prize in 1998 for advancing the Northern Ireland peace process.
