Israel And Saudi Secret Relations

Israel And Saudi Secret Relations On the 23rd Israeli media reported that Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu and Israel’s Intelligence and Special Operations Agency (Mossad) Director Jussi Cohen visited Saudi Arabia on the 22nd and met with Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin. Salman and US Secretary of State Pompeo held a meeting.

The Times of Israel reported on the 23rd that an unnamed Israeli official revealed that Netanyahu, accompanied by Cohen, visited NEOM, a city in northwestern Saudi Arabia, and stayed for about 5 hours during which Netanyahu Hu held high-level meetings with Mohamed bin Salman and Pompeo.

The Times of Israel pointed out that this is the first known high-level meeting between Israel and Saudi Arabia.

Up to now, the officials of Israel, Saudi Arabia and the United States have not responded to this report.

The Israeli “Ha’aretz” also released aviation tracking data, showing that a business jet flew from Tel Aviv, Israel, to NEOM on the Red Sea coast of Saudi Arabia.

At present, although Saudi Arabia has not established formal diplomatic relations with Israel, Saudi Arabia has allowed Israeli passenger planes to fly over its territory in early September 2020 to the UAE, which has just established diplomatic relations with Israel.

The Saudi side has previously stated that before Israel and Palestine sign a peace agreement involving the establishment of a Palestinian state, Saudi Arabia will not follow the example of the United Arab Emirates, Bahrain, and normalize relations between Sudan and Israel.
