“The IDF carried out a third round of strikes against the Hamas ‘subway’ tunnel system in northern Gaza,” the Israeli military source said. During the operation, 54 Israeli Air Force fighter jets destroyed 35 targets and 15 kilometres of tunnel systems. ”

Sources said the strike was part of a massive operation by Israeli forces against Hamas’s underground infrastructure in the Gaza Strip.

Earlier, the Israeli Air Force said in a statement on Twitter that it had attacked nine houses in the Gaza Strip belonging to senior Hamas commanders.

In recent days, the Israeli-Palestinian conflict has continued to escalate. Israeli bombardments of the Gaza Strip killed 192 Palestinians, including 58 children and more than 30 women, and injured more than 1,200 others.
