Iraq issues a new travel ban in response to variant coronavirus

January 14th local time, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority announced that in order to prevent and control the variant novel coronavirus, according to the resolution of the National High Commission for Health and Security chaired by Iraqi Prime Minister Kadimi, the Iraqi Civil Aviation Authority ordered airlines operating in Iraq not to transport Iraqi citizens to multiple countries and regions.

Including Britain, Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Georgia, Germany, Greece, Ireland, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Spain, Brazil, United States, India, Australia, Japan, South Africa, Zambia, etc.

At the same time, passengers from the above-mentioned countries are prohibited from entering Iraq.

Iraqi citizens returning from these countries must be quarantined for 14 days and undergo mandatory nucleic acid testing.

Diplomats, diplomat passport holders, official government delegations, embassy staff, international organizations, etc. are exceptional, but must be tested and quarantined 72 hours before entering Iraq.
