Iranian President: No renegotiation of the Iran nuclear agreement

by YCPress

February 17th local time, Iranian President Rouhani said in his speech at the cabinet meeting that Iran would not accept the renegotiation of the Iran nuclear agreement, and he urged the United States to lift sanctions on Iran as soon as possible and return to the Iranian nuclear agreement.

Rouhani said that the Iran nuclear agreement is an international agreement reached by Iran and other major powers in the world through long and unremitting efforts.

Iran does not allow renegotiation of the Iran nuclear agreement, but Iran can consult with the relevant parties on how to implement the Iran nuclear agreement.

Rouhani said that according to article 6 of the Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law of the Iranian Parliament, if the relevant parties fail to comply with the Iran nuclear agreement, Iran will withdraw from the additional protocol to the Treaty on the Non-Proliferation of Nuclear Weapons previously voluntarily implemented from the 23rd of this month.

In addition, he stressed that Iran’s defense plan does not contain any plan to manufacture weapons of mass destruction, such as nuclear weapons, and all nuclear research and development in Iran is reversible and for peaceful purposes.

In addition, Rouhani once again urged the United States to lift sanctions against Iraq and return to the Iran nuclear agreement as soon as possible.

He said that if the United States takes substantive steps, Iran will follow immediately.
