According to a report by Iran’s official news agency Ibun on January 2nd local time, Salishi, chairman of the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran, said that he had written to the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) that Iran would start uranium enrichment activities with an abundance of 20% in accordance with the latest Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law, and Iran must inform the relevant information.
Know the IAEA because observers of the Agency are needed to unblock some equipment and will replace the new uranium cylinder under supervision.
Salehi said that the Iranian Atomic Energy Organization must implement parliamentary legislation, the government has formulated the implementation rules, and the president will issue an action order after which the IAEA will immediately start its work.
According to Article 1 of Iran’s latest Anti-Sanctions Strategy Law, after the entry into force of the law, the Atomic Energy Organization of Iran is obliged to start producing enriched uranium enriched by 20% for peaceful purposes and store 120 kilograms in Iran.
Iranian parliamentary officials have previously said that the purpose of promulgating the law is not to withdraw from the Iran nuclear agreement, but to unilaterally withdraw from the agreement and impose sanctions on the United States and the European response to the “inaction” on the Iranian nuclear issue, which forces the United States to lift sanctions on Iran and return to the Iran nuclear agreement.
