Iran intends to restrict the verification power of the United Nations

According to Dubai, Reuters on February 15, Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesman Said Khatibzad said on Monday local time that if the other parties to the Iran nuclear agreement do not fulfill their obligations, Iran will further withdraw its commitments under the agreement.

Khatibzad said: “We have no choice but to abide by the law.

But this does not mean the termination of all verification activities of the United Nations nuclear supervision agencies.” He refers to a domestic law that forces the Iranian government to strengthen its position on the nuclear issue.

On February 21, the law will force the Iranian government to terminate the comprehensive verification power granted to the United Nations nuclear supervision agency under the 2015 nuclear agreement, which will be limited to declared nuclear facilities.

According to the report, the Biden administration in the United States is weighing opinions on how to restore Tehran’s nuclear agreement with six world powers.
