San Francisco District Court of California rejected the application of the US Department of Justice and upheld the temporary injunction last month to prohibit the removal of the instant messaging tool WeChat from app stores in the United States.

Judge Laurel Biller of the district court said that the evidence submitted by the US government did not change the court’s previous view, and that the evidence of WeChat’s alleged threat to US security was clearly insufficient.
