January 11 – Indian officials said that on January 9, India repatriated six Pakistanis who entered Indian territory.

According to India Today, the Indian Border Security Force (BSF) said in a statement that on the 8th, six Pakistani men entered Indian territory along the international border in Amritsar, Punjab, and the border security forces detained them.

During the interrogation, India believed that their behavior was unintentional and “nothing unpleasant was found.”

The Indian military said that at the request of the Pakistani authorities, six Pakistanis were allowed to repatriate on “humanitarian” grounds.

The statement also said that last year, the Indian border security forces also handed over six Pakistanis who accidentally crossed the border.

It is reported that India and Pakistan have been arguing in Jammu and Kashmir since independence.

They have accused each other of deliberately stepping into each other’s territory in continuous violation of the ceasefire agreement on the Line of Control (LoC), which led to continuous exchange of fire between the two sides.
