According to the report, although China and India have held several rounds of diplomatic and military talks, the two sides have not been able to make a breakthrough in the confrontation between the so-called “Ladakh region”.

Anurag Srivastava, spokesman of the Indian Foreign Ministry, believes that these discussions have improved the understanding of each other’s positions.

Srivastava also referred to the 20th meeting of the China-India Border Affairs Consultation and Coordination Mechanism on 18 December, saying that the two sides agreed to hold the ninth round of military-level talks as soon as possible.

The speaker added that India and China continue to maintain dialogue and consultation through diplomatic and military channels.

Several Indian media sources said on the 18th of this month that Srivastava said on the 17th that India looked forward to more dialogue with China on the so-called “Ladakh region”.

So far, China and India have held eight rounds of military-level talks, but have not reached a specific consensus on the disengagement of front-line troops.

According to India’s Print Newspaper, Indian Army Chief of Staff Naravan visited Leh City in the “Ladakh Area” on the 23rd, visited the front line of confrontation between China and India, such as the Hotchin Pass, and interacted with the officers and soldiers of the 14th Group of the Indian Army stationed there. High-ranking officials such as Menon, the commander of the 14th Army, reported to Naravan on the army’s preparations.

On the China-India border issue, China has responded many times.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesman Hua Chunying has said that as a neighboring country and the world’s two largest emerging market countries, it is in the fundamental interests of the two countries and peoples to maintain good relations between China and India, but at the same time, they also need to go together and work together.

The merits of the events that happened in the China-India border area are very clear, and the responsibility lies entirely with the Indian side.

China has always strictly abided by the agreements signed by China and India, is committed to resolving the border issue through negotiation and consultation, and is committed to maintaining peace and tranquility in the border area.

At the same time, China’s determination to safeguard China’s territorial sovereignty remains unswerving. We hope that India will go with China and do more things conducive to unity, cooperation and common development.
