Hungarian Foreign Minister Tested Positive For COVID-19 in Thailand

Bangkok, November 4 Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Public Health Anutin said in Nonthaburi near the capital Bangkok on the 4th that Hungarian Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Economic Affairs Sialto, who is visiting Thailand, confirmed the diagnosis Infected with the new coronavirus.

Anutin held a press conference after visiting Cialto at an infectious disease research institute in Nonthaburi Province on the same day, He said that the 13-member Cialto delegation arrived in Thailand on the evening of the 3rd, The test results were all positive, and the other members of the delegation tested negative. 

Cialto was immediately taken to the hospital for isolation and treatment, and is currently in good mental condition, Anutin also said that the Thai government will arrange two charter flights to send, Cialto and other members of the delegation back to Hungary as soon as possible.

According to a report from the Hungarian News Agency on the 4th, Sialto tested positive for the new crown virus after arriving in Thailand after completing his visit to Cambodia, He was an asymptomatic infection. 

According to relevant Thai regulations, Cialto is currently isolated in a local hospital, and the Hungarian side is negotiating with the Thai side on Cialto’s return to Hungary. 

After returning home, Cialto will be quarantined as required.
