Hundreds of people in India are infected with mysterious diseases.

December 9 – The coronavirus pandemic has not subsided, and a “mysterious disease” has recently broken out in India, which has hospitalized more than 500 people and died in Andhra Pradesh in southern India. Local health officials and experts are still helpless about the disease.

Some experts say that the disease may affect 200,000 people.

According to ABC on the 9th, the disease was first discovered in Eluru, Andhra Pradesh, on Saturday night (5th). To the experts’ confusion, there seems to be no common connection between hundreds of patients.

All patients tested negative for COVID-19 and other viral diseases (such as dengue fever, chikungunya fever or herpes, etc.). And not all patients live in the same area.

They come from different ages, including about 70 children, and almost no elderly people.

Experts worry: it may sweep 200,000 people.

According to AFP, Indian officials said that heavy metal elements such as lead and nickel have been detected in the blood of 10 patients.

The government ordered an investigation into the source and mode of transmission of metals. Although the sample data are small, there is no guarantee that the disease will not sweep 200,000 people, the head of Eruru Hospital said.

Andhra Pradesh, which broke out of the disease, is also one of the hardest hit by the coronavirus epidemic in India, with more than 800,000 confirmed cases.

As in other parts of India, Andhra Pradesh’s health system has been severely damaged by the novel coronavirus.
