Hun Sen said that in order to prevent all drug-related crimes, all parties must strictly prevent drug trafficking, import, smuggling, processing, etc., and strictly control the transportation of various cross-border commodities, including mailing, by customs.
Hun Sen also asked all relevant departments to carry out feasibility studies and investigations to cut off all the networks of drug dealers and completely destroy drug criminal activities.
It is understood that in the first half of this year, the Cambodian authorities cracked down on more than 5,000 drug cases, arrested more than 10,000 people involved, including 177 foreigners (from 15 countries and regions), and seized more than 200 kilograms of various drugs and more than 3,000.
