December 3rd local time, the Malaysian Badminton Federation issued a statement saying that Huang Zonghan, the coach director of the Malaysian national badminton team, tested positive for the novel coronavirus and determined that he could not lead the team to the upcoming Thai Open in Bangkok.

The statement said that Huang Zonghan has self-quarantined in accordance with the relevant regulations, and the National Badminton Academy of Malaysia will also disinfect it in accordance with the regulations.

The other 39 coaches and team members tested negative. After consultation with relevant government agencies, they will go to Thailand on the 4th as planned.
