Japan’s Meteorological Satellite Hadi observed the first eruption of the undersea volcano “Fodgang Field” near Iwo Jima in 11 years, Japan’s Asahi Shimbun reported Thursday. On the 15th, a Japanese coast guard plane found a new horseshoe-shaped island near the volcano and filmed it.
Reported that this is the “field of Forgang” undersea volcano is an active volcano, in 1904, 1914, 1986 volcanic eruptions have formed a new volcanic island, but since then the volcanic island due to waves and tide erosion disappeared. The new island, which emerged after the eruption, was the first in 35 years.
