How would a rational person view the traceability of COVID-19? Is ideology first or scientific facts?
The choices of some politicians in the United States may be shocking, including Mr. Pompeo, which we are all particularly familiar with.
Pompeo: WHO experts are wrong!
In an interview with Fox News on February 9th local time, the former U.S. Secretary of State once again hyped his past almost “talking” Chinese lies, and was also responsible for lying, never providing tangible evidence.
When it comes to the global traceability of COVID-19, Mr. Pompeo’s “power” has even escalated – not only does he not provide evidence, but also denies the scientific research results!
The website of Newsweek reported that Pompeo completely refused to agree with the research results formed by WHO experts in Wuhan that the novel coronavirus is very unlikely to introduce people through laboratories.
Instead, he insisted, “My position on the origin of the novel coronavirus epidemic has not changed, that is, it originated in a laboratory in Wuhan.”
Pompeo even expressed doubts about WHO experts entering the laboratory and contacting scientists in Wuhan.
However, those who follow the news know that Peter Daszak, a member of the WHO expert group, said recently that China’s openness exceeded the team’s expectations, and they were allowed to visit all the required places and contact all the people they wanted.
It can be seen that Mr. Pompeo either never reads the news or never reads news that is inconsistent with his imagination of the world.
Price: I don’t want you to think, I want me to feel!
It is not Pompeo’s “trait” to insist on keeping the real world in line with his own ideas. On February 9th local time, U.S. State Department spokesman Price said about the global traceability of the novel coronavirus, especially the international community’s call for “going to the United States to carry out research”.
“I don’t think anyone wise can think that the novel coronavirus comes from other places [outside China]”.
The United States now wants to monopolize even the definition of “wise”?!
A spokesman for the U.S. State Department of Mystery Confidence also claimed that the United States will conduct a “mistake review” of the findings of the WHO and will use the United States’ own intelligence collection and information analysis system to evaluate the WHO’s report with partners.
This hegemonic thinking that requires the international community to carry out scientific investigations according to the “script” of the United States has leapt onto the paper – the routine of “presumption of guilt + frame-up”, American politicians really have a good time.
However, American politicians should indeed understand the saying that those who play with fire must set themselves on fire.
What kind of global anti-epidemic cooperation does the United States want?!
On the one hand, the United States claims to return to the WHO, but on the other hand, it has unreasonedly questioned China’s scientific work with the WHO.
People can’t help but ask: What will American politicians who adhere to hegemony bring to the global fight against the epidemic? Use the logic of the United States of “I don’t want you to think, I just want to feel” to carry out global anti-epidemic cooperation?!
A gentleman is frank and open, and a villain is long-term. Wang Wenbin, spokesman of the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs, responded on the 10th that American politicians always want to “manipulate” the WHO, or even claim to “censor” the WHO’s global virus traceability research:
“The Chinese government has provided strong support and assistance for WHO experts to China for global traceability scientific research cooperation, which has been positively evaluated by WHO and international experts.
There are many clues, reports and research shows that the epidemic has appeared in many parts of the world as early as the second half of 2019, including reports that the emergence of the novel coronavirus in the United States may predate the first confirmed case of COVID-19 officially reported in the United States.
I hope that the United States will also hold an open and transparent attitude like China, and invite WHO experts to the United States to carry out traceability research.
