CNN on the 25th, Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said in an interview with ABC on Wednesday that he had not contacted the “president-elect” Biden himself, but had already had conversations with members of Biden’s team.
“I’ve reached out to Ron Klein (the Biden White House Chief of Staff),” Fauci said on Good Morning America. “There’s nothing substantive about the plan, just talking to me. “We will be discussing plans very soon, given the transition is underway,” he told me.”
HHS Secretary Alex Azza said Tuesday that the Department of Health and Human Services has also been communicating with Biden’s transition team after the General Services Administration confirmed Biden’s victory.
