Hamas officials have denied rumours of an impending ceasefire between the two sides

A senior Hamas official Izzat local time on the 18th denied the Israeli media about the two sides will cease fire news.

The official said in a statement that some enemy media reports that Hamas agreed to a cease-fire on the 20th were false. There is currently no agreement or specific timing of the ceasefire.

The statement noted that the current ceasefire mediation by the United Nations, Egypt, Qatar and other countries is still ongoing.
