According to the information released by the World Health Organization, as of February 19, local time, Guinea has reported seven cases of Ebola, of which three are confirmed and four are suspected.

At present, 311 people have been tracked to have contact with confirmed cases.

To help Guinea cope with the new Ebola outbreak, the World Health Organization will deliver more than 11,000 doses of Ebola vaccine to Guinea, which is expected to arrive in Conakry, the capital of Guinea, this Sunday.

A vaccination team of 30 people has been mobilized locally to prepare for vaccination as soon as the vaccine is received.

Meanwhile, as clean water is essential to combat the Ebola outbreak, UNICEF is actively operating at the Ebola Treatment Center in the Guinean Nzere Kore province to repair water intake points as part of supporting the Government of Guinea’s response to the Ebola outbreak.
