Greek Coast Guard: A patrol boat was damaged by a Turkish patrol boat

According to a Greek media report on January 7th local time, the Greek Coast Guard announced the day before that a Greek Coast Guard patrol boat was hit by a Turkish patrol boat near the island of Imia in the eastern Aegean Sea on the morning of January 6, causing partial damage to the former’s hull.

The Greek Coast Guard stressed that Greek patrol boats were sailing in their own waters at that time.

The Turkish Coast Guard announced on January 7 that two Greek fishing boats entered Turkish waters the day before and were subsequently driven away by four Turkish boats.
