December 17th, local time, according to Greek media sources, Greek Defense Minister Panayotopoulos and Greek government spokesman Passas announced the specific procedures and details of purchasing “gust” fighters from France on the same day.

Greece will buy 18 Gusts from France, paying a total of about 2.3 billion euros ($2.8 billion). Of this amount, 1.92 billion euros will be used to buy 6 new “gust” fighters and 12 used “gust” fighters, and the rest will be used to buy supporting equipment. Six Gusty wind fighters will be delivered by the end of 2021, and the remaining fighters will be delivered by mid-2023.

Greece plans to send four air force pilots to France for training in early 2021.
