At the end of the year, when the traditional festival and the New Year are approaching, Greek government spokesman Petzas announced the epidemic prevention restrictions during the festival on December 14.

These include:

  • 1. The festival party is limited to up to 9 people from two families;
  • 2. The curfew measures from 10 p.m. to 5 a.m. the next day are still in effect during the festival;
  • 3. Retail stores still cannot open for normal business;
  • 4. From December 14, barbershops, beauty salons, nail shops, and vehicle safety testing centers will reopen, and are allowed to open on Sundays at the end of the year, that is, December 20 and December 27.

However, people need to make an appointment and send a message to 13033 to declare “2” to go out, and strictly abide by the rules of wearing masks and maintaining social distancing at least 2 meters.
