Greece: 23 million euros are earmarked for the upgrading of police equipment in 2021

January 21st, local time, Ya News Agency reported that at the meeting of the Ministry of Civic Protection on the same day, relevant departments said that in order to cope with the challenges posed by the COVID-19 pandemic to the Greek police and the possible external threats Greece, the authorities decided to upgrade police equipment step by step in 2021.

It is reported that in 2021, the total budget of 23 million euros will be used to purchase the following equipment: 40 to 80 specially designed police vehicles (for transporting arrested people who have tested positive for COVID-19); four specially designed ambulances; five armored vehicles and four special combat vehicles.
