May 10 2021, the UAE government announced the end of the outbreak, requiring a certain percentage of government employees to work from home and other special measures, from May 16 to return to normal work, but women employees with children still participating in distance learning can continue to work from home until the end of the semester.

The Federal Human Resources Administration (FAHR) also announced that unvaccinated government employees would be required to undergo mandatory nucleic acid testing on a weekly basis at their own expense.
