From 6 May, local elections will be held in the UK

by YCPress

Local elections in the UK, which will begin on 6 May local time, will elect more than 5,000 councillors from local councils, as well as 13 directly elected mayors, including the mayor of London.

The elected councillors include about 5,000 local councillors in England, 129 in the Scottish Parliament and 60 in the Welsh Assembly. Of these concerns is the Scottish Parliament elections.

With the Scottish National Party, the largest party in the Scottish Parliament, advocating a second independence referendum, it is expected to further spark legal writh over the Scottish independence referendum if it continues to hold a parliamentary majority.
