On November 30, the French High Public Health Council announced its first vaccination announcement, in which the High Committee recommended giving priority to vaccination for elderly people in nursing homes. At the same time, the committee also preferred voluntary vaccination.
The French High Council for Public Health divides vaccination into five stages. In the first stage, the elderly in nursing homes, relevant social welfare institutions and their medical staff are vaccinated, which is about 1 million people. In the second stage, people over 75 years old, elderly people aged 65 to 74 with complications and medical staff over 50 years old or with complications are vaccinated.
This part is About 15 million people; in the third stage, people over 50 years old, under the age of 50 but with multiple complications, and all medical staff will be vaccinated; in the fourth stage, people exposed to a large number of people due to work or unstable people (such as homeless people) will be vaccinated; in the fifth stage, if the number of vaccines is sufficient.
Next, adults over 18 years old can be vaccinated.
The French High Public Health Council stressed that the announcement will be revised according to the epidemic situation and the number of vaccines.
Previously, the French government announced that it would advance the vaccination program by late 2020 and early 2021.
