Former U.S. Vice President Pence has been active in politics again recently, announcing the establishment of a new political advocacy organization on the 7th. In addition, he signed a publishing agreement with the American publishing company for two memoirs worth millions of dollars, which are expected to be published in 2023.
On April 7, Pence announced the establishment of a new political advocacy group called “Advancing American Freedom” on April 7, which focuses on his political future and the legacy of the Trump administration.
Pence also recently signed a memoir publishing agreement with publisher Simon and Schuster, which is worth about $3 million to $4 million (about RMB 196 million and 26.18 million), making him the first member of Trump’s inner circle to sign such a high book contract.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to tell Americans about my stories in the public service, from members of Congress to the governor’s office in Indiana to the vice president of the United States,” Pence said in a statement. Simon & Schuster’s vice president Dana Carnedi said Pence’s book would be “inspiring,” but there was no specific note whether Pence would say about Pence’s rejection of Trump’s request to override the election results. Pence is taking action to suggest a possible run for president in 2024, CNN analysts say.
