Former US Secretary of State Kissinger: US and China should strengthen exchanges and continue cooperation

by YCPress

When former US Secretary of State Kissinger participated in the “Bloomberg Innovation Economic Forum” via video, the incoming new US government should act quickly to restore the now damaged communication channels with China and promote Exchanges and cooperation between the two countries.

Kissinger said that the relationship between the United States and China is increasingly becoming confrontational. He does not agree with the current US government’s threatening approach to Sino-US relations. China and the United States should be more cooperative.

Former US Secretary of State Kissinger: The problem now is that we should move in the direction of cooperation between China and the United States. Of course, the two sides will have different views on some issues, but we should emphasize the basis for cooperative action.

Kissinger hopes that the threat of Coronavirus pandemic that the two countries are facing together will become an opportunity for the political dialogue between the United States and China after the inauguration of the new US government in January next year.

Former U.S. Secretary of State Kissinger: Neither the U.S. nor China have directly faced a country of similar size to their own.

This is the first time for both sides. We must avoid the conflict between the two sides, and I hope that both sides can work together.
