Former Turkish Prime Minister Ahmet Davutoğlu tested positive for COVID-19

On November 27th local time, Ahmet Davutoğlu former Turkish Prime Minister and chairman of the Future Party, said on a social media platform that he had tested for the novel coronavirus that day and tested positive.

He said that he was in general good condition and would continue to work during the quarantine. Future Party spokesman Selkan Ozjan said that Ahmet Davutoğlu developed symptoms on the 26th.

Ahmet Davutoğlu has served as Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Turkey. In 2016, Ahmet Davutoğlu resigned as Prime Minister, and in December 2019, he announced the formation of the Future Party.
