According to an ANSA report on December 5, the Italian military company Leonardo had a leak from 2015 to 2017, and valuable data and information were stolen.
According to reports, from May 2015 to January 2017, about 10G of confidential data and files of Leonardo were stolen through a Trojan horse program implanted in a computer through a USB flash drive, including company finances, personnel, and assets. And other business information, as well as military and civil aircraft parts design.
After investigations by the Italian judicial authorities, preventive measures were taken against the two suspects. A former employee of the company’s information security department was arrested on suspicion of illegally entering the information system, and another head of the company’s cyber emergency department was placed under judicial house arrest.
Leonardo is a core enterprise in the Italian defense industry, with its main businesses in aerospace, helicopters, electronics and information systems.
