Cayambe City Fire Department stated that the fire broke out on the evening of November 2nd.
As of the morning of the 5th, 6 fires had been recorded.
The local fire department and the staff of the Ministry of Environment and Water Resources of Ecuador participated in the fire fighting together. However, the hot climate and dry vegetation make it difficult to extinguish fires.
It is reported that the fire is the most serious in the eastern part of Kayanbe City.
