FBI confirms two pipeline bombs left behind in Capitol protest clashes

Steven D’Antuono, Assistant Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation in Washington, D.C., said on January 12 local time that agents were still investigating whether participants in the protest against the conflict planned to take Congress hostage when they launched riots on the 6th, and confirmed that they were in the Republican Party at that time. And the two pipe bombs placed outside the DNC office building are real.

DeAntono noted that the FBI is pursuing information about one or more people involved in planting pipe bombs outside the Republican and Democratic National Committee office buildings last week.

He said the bomb had been proven to be true and had a timer, but he had not yet known why it did not explode at that time.
