Fauci warns that Super Bowl could become a “mini-super spread” event

Fauci, the top infectious disease expert in the United States, urged Americans to watch the Super Bowl with their immediate family members, warning that the event could become a “mini-super transmission” event.

“You don’t need 20 people to enjoy ‘Sunday’s Super Bowl feast,” Fauci told MSNBC reporter Ari Melber Friday night.

“You can enjoy the Super Bowl, but don’t have a large group of people gathering indoors, especially without good ventilation,” Fauci said.

“Small gatherings can also be mini-super spread events, please don’t do that for a while, we’ll have other Super Bowls.”
