CNN: Fauci, director of the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious Diseases, said that he had had preliminary dialogue with members of the “President-elect” Biden team. Biden also confirmed the matter, saying Fauci “provided a very, very big help.”
Fauci reportedly said he had not had any substantive discussions with members of the Biden team, but he was looking forward to it. Fauci also reiterated his hope to stay in office and continue to work on the epidemic during Biden’s administration.
Biden also told reporters on the same day that his team had contacted Fauci, adding that “he has provided very, very helpful”.
