Reuters, January 12th, Facebook’s chief operating officer Sheryl Sandberg said on Monday that Facebook has no plans to lift the ban on President Trump’s account.
Sandberg said at the Reuters Next meeting that she was pleased that Facebook had taken action to freeze Trump’s accounts.
When the riots broke out in Washington last week, technology giants took measures to block Trump’s remarks about election fraud.
Sandberg said that if Trump wants to appeal against the blocked content, he will need to pass the company’s newly established Oversight Board.
Facebook said that Trump could not appeal through the company’s board of directors.
