AFP reported on January 8 that the extremist organization Boko Haram launched an attack in northern Cameroon, killing 13 people.
According to Xinhua News Agency, in the more than ten years since its establishment, Boko Haram has frequently created attacks on civilians and soldiers in the Lake Chad basin, posing a security threat to neighboring Nigeria, Chad, Niger, Cameroon and other countries.
