On November 30 the Egyptian Presidential Palace issued a statement stating that Egyptian President Sisi met with Palestinian President Abbas in the capital Cairo that same day. Egyptian Foreign Minister Shukri, Egyptian Intelligence Directorate Kamal, and the Palestinian ambassador to Egypt, etc. Participated in the talks between the two parties.

The spokesman for the Egyptian Presidential Palace, Bassam Rady, said Sisi conveyed to Abbas his “full support” for the internal political reconciliation process in Palestine.

Sisi said that the Palestinian issue “occupies a priority in Egyptian politics” and Egypt will continue to support the Palestinian people in restoring their national legal rights in accordance with international law and improving the humanitarian situation in the Gaza Strip.

He called on Arab countries to work hard to resume peace negotiations between Palestine and Israel.

November 29 is the International Day of Solidarity with the Palestinian People.

According to Egyptian media reports, Sisi and King Abdullah II of Jordan had a phone call on the issue of Palestine on the 29th.
