Egyptian media quoted emergency news broadcast by Arabia TV on the 3rd local time to report that the foreign ministers of Egypt and Germany refused foreign interference in the Libyan issue.

Egyptian Foreign Minister Shukry talked with German Foreign Minister Marstone on the same day. The two sides talked about some regional issues of common concern to the two countries and issues related to bilateral cooperation.

Egyptian Foreign Ministry spokesman Hafez said that the two foreign ministers discussed the overall regional issues, including the development of Libya, on the phone.

The two sides stressed the need to maintain Libya’s stability, unity and territorial integrity, and rejected all external interference in its affairs.

The two sides stressed the importance of reaching a comprehensive political solution based on the results of the Berlin process and the Cairo Declaration, and stressed their support for the reconstruction of the Libyan state and its institutions.

The two sides also called attention to developments related to the question of Palestine, and the two foreign ministers discussed efforts to resume the Palestinian-Israeli peace process and resume the Palestinian-Israeli negotiating track. The purpose of the meeting is to hope for a just and comprehensive settlement of the question of Palestine on the basis of relevant international legitimate resolutions.

The two sides also discussed the development of bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields, the most important of which is to strengthen economic ties between the two countries by promoting trade exchanges between the two countries.
