An Egyptian military spokesman issued a statement on the 8th, informing that the Egyptian armed forces have killed a total of 40 terrorists in various anti-terrorism operations carried out in the past three months.
The statement said that the Egyptian Air Force destroyed a total of 437 terrorist strongholds in the North Sinai area. These strongholds are terrorist hiding places and ammunition arsenals.
The statement also said that in one of these operations, the Egyptian armed forces killed 25 terrorists and destroyed four vehicles attempting to carry out terrorist attacks. In addition, the Egyptian armed forces have carried out many targeted strikes, killing 15 “extremely dangerous terrorists”.
The statement said that these strikes by the Egyptian armed forces took place between September and December 8.
