Egypt received the second batch of SinoVac vaccine today.

February 23rd Comprehensive Reuters and Malay Post reported on the 23rd that the Egyptian Ministry of Health said in a statement that the country had received a coronavirus vaccine developed by China National Pharmaceutical Group in the early morning of the same day.

This is the second batch of domestic drug vaccines shipped to Egypt from China. Egypt received the first vaccine from the national medicine last December (2020).

Egypt began to vaccinate the national drug vaccine on a large scale in the country on January 24, and the first inoculated people were medical personnel.

Egypt is scheduled to open online applications next week to other eligible people (old people and chronically ill) to apply for vaccinations, Mustafa Ghoneima, assistant health minister.

He said that with the arrival of the latest batch of domestic drug vaccines, vaccinations will be carried out for these groups as soon as possible.

According to a previous report by People’s Daily, on the evening of December 10, 2020, China’s COVID-19 vaccine arrived at Cairo International Airport.

At a press conference held at the scene, Egyptian Minister of Health and Population Halle expressed his sincere gratitude to the Chinese government for its full support for Egypt’s fight against the pandemic.
