E Fati and Davis, Harland won the European Golden Boy Award.
November 21st – 20-year-old Norwegian striker Harland, who played for Borussia Dortmund in the Bundesliga, beat Alfonso Davis, Sancho, Fati and others to win the European Golden Boy Award this year.
The European Golden Boy Award was founded by the Italian newspaper Turin Sports in 2003. It was voted by many European media to select the young player of the year for young players under the age of 21 who play for European clubs.
Before Harland, Van der Vaart, Rooney, Messi, Fabregas, Agüero, Anderson, Pato, Balotelli, Götze, Isco, Pogba, Stirling, Martial, Sanchez, Mbappe, Delicht, Felix and others have won this award, and the vast majority of them have reached the top stars.
Compared with Felix’s high vote last year, the competition for this year’s European Golden Boy Awards is more fierce, after Harland, Sancho, Fatty, Davis and others were all expected to be involved in the award. In the end, Harland won this award, and his performance also met the definition of “Golden Boy”.
Last season, Harland made 14 appearances in the Austrian First Division, scoring 16 goals and 6 assists. After the transfer to Borussia Dortmund, he scored 13 goals and sent three assists in 15 games in the Bundesliga, which was efficient. Harland has continued his hot form this season, and currently he has scored 11 goals in 11 appearances in various competitions.
In addition to Harland, who was eventually elected, his club teammates Sancho, Bayern’s Alfonso Davis, Barcelona’s Fatty, Manchester City’s Foden, Manchester United’s Greenwood, Liverpool’s Jones, Milan’s Daniel Maldini, Arsenal’s Martinelli, and Huang Rainier of Ma, Vinicius and Rodrigo, etc. Japanese players Ku Hyeon and Yushi Sugawara, as well as South Korean players Lee Gang-in, are also on the list.
