Driven by strong winds, wildfires rise again in Orange County, Southern California, United States

by YCPress

At about 10:00 p.m. local time on December 2, the Orange County Fire Department of Southern California received a call for a wildfire near the Silfro Valley, which had just occurred here (October 26) and burned more than 50 square kilometers of land.

The wildfire, called BondFire, was rapidly spread by strong winds, and residents in the surrounding areas of the wildfire were also warned to prepare for evacuation, while some areas were required to evacuate forcibly.

The Orange County Fire Department sent ground firefighters and fire helicopters to fight on the scene in the early morning of the 3rd. By 7:00 a.m. on the 3rd, the Bond Mountain Fire had reached 3,600 acres (15 square kilometers), and there was no sign of control. At present, no damage to houses and casualties have been reported in the area.

The previous day, the area had received a strong wind red warning from the Meteorological Department. Santa Ana winds will hit many parts of Orange County again, with maximum wind speeds of 75 kilometers per hour.

The boost of strong winds and dry and low humidity conditions will expose the area to the danger of wildfires again.
