Do you still have confidence in the U.S. Attorney General? Trump: Ask me later in a few weeks

Reuters reported on December 4 that US President Trump refused to disclose whether he still has confidence in U.S. Attorney General William Barr on the 3rd. The head of the Ministry of Justice said this week that there was no sign of major fraud in last month’s presidential election.

Barr said in an interview with the Associated Press on the 1st that the Ministry of Justice found no evidence of widespread voter fraud. But Trump previously told reporters at the White House that Barr had not found any evidence. “Barr did nothing,” Trump said in his White House office. Therefore, he hasn’t looked for it.

When asked on the 3rd if he still has confidence in Barr, Trump said, “I’ll ask me this question in a few weeks, and they should investigate these frauds. This is not a civil lawsuit, but a very bad crime.”

A spokesman for the Ministry of Justice declined to comment on the president’s remarks.

Trump’s legal team blames Barr for not conducting proper investigation or reviewing voting machines. During the election period, this task did not belong to the Ministry of Justice.
